“Interaction”, is an installation celebrating H&M Home’s transition from an online and catalogue retailer to a physical showroom where one can indulge all the senses, especially touch.
With the dominance of digital systems in the world, the concept explored the possibility of discovery through direct interaction. A large wooden display unit presents a series of pulleys and levers that are attached to various products.
An action causes a reaction. With a simple pull or push there is a discovery through the physical exploration of an analogue search engine.Direct analog browsing

Dutch icons in relation to products.
Schiphol Lounge 3: a realized restaurant named Bread (Hospitality), cheese counter named Say Cheese (Retail) and a flower shop named House of Tulips (Retail). The three basic product categories of these concepts represent are strongly rooted in dutch culture. Dutch icons in relation to the above mentioned products.

The atmosphere and structure of the design is referring to the wood constructions of a Dutch wind mills and old barns. The materializing of the project is referring to the crafts in a bakery: sustainable, warmth and freshness.
Bread, sandwiches are freshly made in sight of the guest and according to their taste. Passengers in a hurry / with little time can choose to take the ‘fast lane’ and make their choice from a pre-made selection. The visitors of Bread can seat on unique designed garden benches combined with regular chairs.
House of Tulips
A unique feature is the huge meeting square of lounge 3 is the green glass house - ‘The House of Tulips’ - which spectacularly suspended in the air.
It’s the shape of a typical Amsterdam canal house + glass system of a greenhouse = becomes The House of Tulips. When it’s open it rises in the air, when the shop will close it comes down fully automatically.
The concept of Say Cheese is referring to traditional staking of cheeses in the maturation process on wooden shelf’s. The “Cheese block” is giving an extra commercial communication support and can be used for the presentation of non-food products. When shop is closed the “Cheese block” will be used for the storage of the non-food products.

The approach was to create a “gallery” of fun fashion home products that customers are encouraged to touch and explore as they create their own unique home style.
H&M Home is a gallery/showroom using highly emotional product presentations, verging on art that encourages customers to engage with the brand. For the launch, there was created a
display of mirrors and suspended furniture to showcase the variety of looks that can be created with the H&M Home collection to reflect each consumers personal style.
Located in the H&M headquarters in Stockholm, the installation “Home Reflections” imagines the world through a looking glass, to explore our ever-changing relationship between identity and style.
We made this project with two 3D designers (myself as designer and one senior lead designer, Gavin Elliot) and one (senior) graphic designer (Ruben Dela Rive Box).

An art piece for on a roundabout. Located at the industrial park of the city Mechelen (Belgium). The concept is inspired on the traffic sign for an industrial park. This sign was made into a 3-dimensional structure. The windows, which are usually voids, are now closed boxes. During the night these boxes light up when traffic is passing by (reflectors). The tree that grows out of the factory’s chimney symbolizes that the industry is getting greener (and greener). The realization of this project was in October 2010. In collaboration with Maarten Groven.
During the technical engineers process it seemed that is wasn’t possible to place a tree. Because there was a street water infiltration system under need the roundabout. In place of the tree there is now an abstracted cloud structure with ivy.

An old construction worker wagon has been transformed into an exposition and promotion mobile for the school KHMechelen. The concept for the round windows which have been cut out is based on a peepshow box. The wagon is covered with roofing foil which makes it waterproof.Promo Mobile Concept
